Chairman Tho remarked that the opening of the Consulate General Office of China in his city on the same day would help to foster the bilateral cooperative relations with Chinese localities in the near future, as well as to lift the Viet Nam- China cooperative relationships to new heights as a whole.

The host also asked for help from the Chinese guests to appeal for more Chinese businesses to invest into his city, especially in local Hi-tech and dedicated Information Technology parks.  He also briefed his guests on the city’s final preparations for the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) which will take place in the city from 6-11 November.

In reply, Ambassador Hong remarked that he and staff from the Consulate General Office of China in Da Nang, are willing to join efforts with the city authorities to encourage Chinese businesses to invest in such aspects as trade, tourism, education and healthcare.  Their efforts also aimed to make Da Nang an attractive destination for Chinese visitors and investors.

The guest expressed his belief that leaders of Da Nang in particular, and those of Viet Nam in general, would organise successfully the forthcoming AELW to advertise the beautiful images of Da Nang to international friends.
