In the resistance war against the US, Hong Phuoc Village was home to 64 families, and together they dug 46 secret shelters for use as hiding places for Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers. The villagers made great efforts to help Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers fight against the enemy, and win numerous resounding battles.
