The construction of the Ariyana Convention and Exhibition Centre (ADECC) to the south of the Furama Villas Danang and Furama Resort Danang has been already completed in early this month.  This work is one of the city’s most important projects in preparation for the forthcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) from 6-11 November.

According to a spokesperson for the SOVICO Holdings group, this venue will host international meetings and exhibitions in the coming time.

In particular, next month, ADECC will host the APEC CEO Summit which will be attended by leaders of the 21 APEC member economies, along with 16,000 official delegates and heads of the world’s largest economic groups, plus thousands of journalists from international media agencies.  In addition, this venue has been chosen to host the 2017 Da Nang Investment Forum which is a prelude to the forthcoming AELW.

Mr Nguyen Duc Quynh, Deputy General Director of the Furama Resort Danang, said that as part of the 5-star Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex, the 350 billion VND ADECC covers an area of 5,500m2, giving a total floor area of 12,000m2.  The 3-storey centre’s main meeting hall will be able to accommodate up to 2,500 guests in total.  The centre is located in a spacious space like a tropical garden when it is surrounded by many different kinds of colourful flowers and plants.

He noted that the centre’s lobby features Gothic carpets and large wooden bas-reliefs which were done by Italian artisans.  The meeting rooms’ walls are decorated with glass, wood and fabric materials harmoniously.

Deputy General Director Quynh remarked that ADECC is expected to be very attractive to visitor groups involved in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism, along with investors and businesspeople from both home and abroad due to its luxury and splendid design and decoration.  This will help Da Nang affirmed its position as a city of international events in the world.
