No one was injured during a fire on a 3-storey guest-house on Wednesday morning at 13 Chon Tam 2 Street in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Da Nang.

Some witnesses reported seeing thick plumes of black smoke rising from the second floor of the house at around 10.00am.

They rang firefighters for help, and shouted for guests staying there to run out of the burning house.

Soon after, 3 fire engines, along with dozens of firefighters from the municipal Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention, were on the scene after the Department received a report from the witnesses.

Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the blaze was completely extinguished after nearly 1 hour.

However, all the furniture on the second floor of the house was totally destroyed in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
