According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, the city's total export turnover of goods in the 1^st quarter of this year increased by 7.3% compared with the same period last year to an estimated 235 million USD. 

In detail, local textile and garment exports hit an estimated 56.3 million USD, a 7.5% increase, whilst electronic products were 21.9 million USD, up 6.7%.  The export value of plastic products reached 7.3 million USD, a 2.3 % rise, rubber products being 3.1 million USD, a 2.2% increase, and handicrafts being 1.1 million USD, up 1.6%.

In contrast, the city saw positive signs for exporting seafood products and children’s toy thanks to the great efforts of local businesses in expanding into new markets, and increasing their production capacity in order to complete their orders.  In particular, the export turnover of seafood products reached an estimate of 29.8 million USD, a 20.5% increase, whilst children’s toys hit 14 million USD, up 15.3%.
