New Shanghai – Da Nang direct charter flights
Charter aircraft No 9C8909 carrying 180 Chinese passengers, the first direct flight from Shanghai to Da Nang, landed at Da Nang International Airport at 11.55pm on Monday.
During their 5-day stay in the central region, the passengers are scheduled to visit some of the region’s popular tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue cities, and Quang Nam Province’s My Son Sanctuary. Amongst the passengers were a number of reporters from Shanghai’s broadcasting and news agencies, and they will help to promote and advertise the opening of the new flight service.

Arranged by the Vietravel Travel Agency and Chinese Spring Travel, the new service aims to meet the increasing travel demands of Chinese tourist arrivals to the city in recent years.
Between April and July, two Shanghai–Da Nang direct flights will operate each week – on Mondays and Fridays. During the city’s peak tourist season from July to October, the number of flights is expected to increase to 4 per week - on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
