Bank loans increase by 5.61% over last 6 months

At the end of June, the total amount of money borrowed from Da Nang’s banks had reached an estimated 56.5 trillion VND, an increase of 5.61% compared with late 2013. Since the end of 2013, VND loans have increased by 5.72% to hit an estimated 50.1 trillion VND, whilst loans in foreign currencies reached an estimated 6.4 trillion VND, an increase of 4.81%.
Loans from the city’s state-owned credit institutions and joint stock banks total to an estimated 21.9 trillion VND, a decrease of 0.73% against late 2013. Meanwhile, loans from local joint-stock commercial, joint venture, and 100% foreign-owned banks have increased by 10.07% to hit an estimated 34.6 trillion VND.
