Businesses make significant contributions to city's progress
At yesterday’s celebration of the 10th Vietnamese Businesses’ Day (13 October), the Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Van Huu Chien, remarked that the city has seen a significant rise in the number of private businesses and their total capital over the past 10 years.
Chairman Chien said that private businesses have made a major contribution to the city’s revenue over the past decade, and the local business community has played a vital role in accelerating the city’s progress.

There are over 15,000 businesses operating in the city, with a total registered capital of over 71 trillion VND. In 2013, tax payments from local businesses hit over 7.1 trillion VND, a 4-fold increase compared with 2004, and an average growth of 16.2% year-on-year.
