Helping import and export businesses overcome their difficulties
The leaders of the Customs Department met with representatives from 100 import and export businesses from across Da Nang on Wednesday.
The participating businesses outlined their difficulties relating to customs procedures, the classification of declaration forms, the management of goods imported, exported or in transit, tax management for imported and exported goods, and the application of the Viet Nam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System/Viet Nam Customs Information System (VNACCS/VCIS).

The department’s leaders thoroughly answered all the questions raised by the local businesses, and even sent their answers in writing to other businesses.
The Head of the city’s Customs Department, Mr Nguyen Tien Tho, remarked that the meeting had provided a good opportunity for local businesses to present to the department their difficulties during the import and export of their goods. Thanks to this, the department will take suitable measures to deal with the customs-related problems. In addition, this will help to create a closer relationship between local import and export businesses and the local customs department. Some issues raised by the businesses were beyond the department’s control but will be presented to the General Department of Viet Nam Customs for consideration.
