More support for building materials businesses
As part of Da Nang’s “Year for Business 2014” programme, the municipal Department of Construction has taken various proactive measures to support local building materials businesses. In particular, the Department has suggested that the city authorities should issue a directive to promote the use of oven-fired bricks in the local construction sector, as well as give more support to local building materials businesses in order to develop their production activities.
In September, the city-based Hong Hoang Hong Corporation opened an oven-fired bricks manufacturing plant in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Nhon Commune. The new plant, the first of its kind in the city, is expected to have an annual production capacity of 90 million bricks. A new 30 billion VND production line will be installed at the plant in the near future, which will then increase the plant’s production to 135 million per year.

The opening of the city’s first-ever oven-fired bricks manufacturing plant is a remarkable breakthrough in promoting the application of new production technologies in the local construction sector. In addition, the operation of this plant marks a milestone in the city’s long-term strategy for developing new building material products. The use of oven-fired bricks will contribute to protecting the local environment, reducing costs for local construction projects, meeting technical requirements, and ensuring the aesthetics of construction work.
