South Korea provides light industry training courses to Vietnamese businesses
According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, training courses for Vietnamese businesspeople about policies for developing light industries have being organised in South Korea. The training is part of the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation to promote the development of Vietnamese light industries. This agreement was entered into by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in Ha Noi in January 2013.
Under the MoU, 100 technologies which have been applied successfully in South Korea will be transferred to Vietnamese businesses in 2015. The technologies will be used in the mechanical manufacturing, metallurgy, electricity, electronics, automobile, textiles and garments, leather and footwear sectors. In addition, Vietnamese businesses will be introduced to Korean partners who will consume their products after the technology transfer.
Local businesses interested in applying the South Korean technologies must register with the Department of Industry and Trade before 26 November.
