On Monday afternoon, 50 representatives from travel agencies, restaurants and hotels in Da Nang and Can Tho Province gathered in the city for the “Can Tho’s Tourism - Its Potential and Development” workshop.  The event was co-organised by the Culture, Sports and Tourism departments of the 2 localities.

During the event, Can Tho’s beautiful landscapes, its specialities, and its popular tourist attractions were introduced to the participants.

Since the start of Da Nang - Can Tho direct return flights in July, there have been 120 flights between the 2 localities, carrying 18,567 passengers in total.  Of these, 9,488 passengers flew from Da Nang to Can Tho Province. 

In addition, tourism exchange activities between the 2 localities have achieved remarkable success.  Tourism product advertising programmes between Da Nang and Can Tho Province will encourage visitors from the two localities and their hospitality service providers to seek cooperative opportunities, as well as introduce their new products and services to local residents in Da Nang and Can Tho Province.
