Earlier this month, the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) announced that it had launched online ticketing, and that it will start to sell train tickets for next year's Tet Festival (Lunar New Year) from 1 October.

After the first 2 weeks of operation of the online ticketing programme, passengers in Da Nang no longer face network congestion as they access their websites at www.dsvn.vn , www.vietnamrailway.vn , and www.vetau.com.vn  to purchase their tickets.

In addition, Da Nang Railway Station is making every effort to extend the hours for direct ticket sales at the station each day, and to maintain the sale of tickets via telephone and ticketing agents in the city and in Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An.

Thanks to good preparatory work, the city’s station is expected to see an increase of between 5% and 7% in the number of tickets sold compared with last year’s Tet holiday.

From today, 18 September, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will begin selling 600,000 tickets on domestic routes for Tet.

In order to reduce the daytime passenger overload, the airline is offering a special promotion for people who book late-night flights.

The low-cost carrier VietJet Air has recently begun its ticket sales for flights during Tet.  After the addition of around 100 flights over the holiday, they will be operating 10 return flights per day between Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Their tickets are available at all ticketing agencies, on their website www.vietjetair.com and mobile website http://m.vietjetair.com , and via other methods.

Many people have already booked on VietJet Air's international flights departing from Da Nang International Airport over the Tet holiday.
