The Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Vo Cong Tri, visited the Central Vietnam Metal Corporation (CEVIMETAL) and the Multi-Modal Transport Holding Company (VIETRANSTIMEX) on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (13 October).

Deputy Secretary Tri praised both companies for their remarkable business achievements over recent years.  He took the opportunity to urge the companies to continue upholding their achievements, applying scientific and technological achievements in their production activities, and taking advantage of the great opportunities for boosting their international integration to further their development.

CEVIMETAL’s General Director, Mr Nguyen Anh Hoang, said that his company had set up 6 manufacturing plants in the city and 5 branches across the country, and has a total of 147 employees.  He remarked that CEVIMETAL has made every effort to overcome their difficulties in the context of fierce competition and the dramatic drop in steel prices.  Thanks to its drastic and flexible business strategies, the company has seen a significant increase in its total output and turnover this year.  As a result, it has exceeded the year’s profits target and ensured the incomes of its employees.

During a visit to the TCIE Vietnam Company on the same day, the municipal People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, spoke highly of its active involvement in promoting local socio-economic development even though the company started operating several years ago.

He vowed that the city authorities would create even more favourable conditions for the company to operate effectively in the city.  He also urged the company to exert greater efforts to win the trust of its customers and expand its consumer markets in the future.
