According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to the city between January and September hit an estimated 3.74 million, up 23.6% compared with the same period last year, and representing 84.4% of the year’s target.

In detail, the number of foreigners rose by 31.8% to an estimated 867,025, whilst domestic visitors climbed by 21.3% to an estimated 2.87 million.  As a result, the city’s tourism sector earned an estimated 10.2 trillion VND in revenue, an increase of 30.2% against the same period last year, and fulfilling 86.4% of the year's target.

Over the 9-month period, 62 new accommodation providers with a total of 2,783 rooms operated in the city.  This has helped to bring the total number of local hotels to 487, providing 18,248 rooms for visitors.
