An Airbus A350 serving Paris-Ha Noi direct route landed at Noi Bai International Airport, in Ha Noi, on October 2, marking Viet Nam Airlines’ official operation of the top-class plane to meet the increasing travel demand between Viet Nam and France.

Seeing the flight off from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on October 1, Claude Morel, from the French Ministry of Transport, congratulated Viet Nam’s national flag carrier on becoming one of the leading airlines in the region through continually modernising its fleet and bettering its services.

He also hailed the effective cooperation between Viet Nam and France as well as the partnership between Viet Nam Airlines and Air France, and Airbus manufacturer.

France is one of the European biggest partners of Viet Nam, while Viet Nam is a favourite destination for nearly 300,000 French tourists each year.

In October, Viet Nam Airlines operates the A350 on the Ha Noi-Paris and Ho Chi Minh City-Paris routes.

As scheduled, it will have fourteen A350-900s, including 10 ordered directly from Airbus and another 4 from leasing firms.
