AirAsia offers 3 million free seats in week-long campaign
Malaysia’s AirAsia and its sister firm AirAsia X are offering three million promotional seats in its highly anticipated Free Seats campaign, which will connect travelers to over 100 destinations across 22 countries.
The promotional seats start from US$0.00 base fare, with taxes and fees to be charged, the low-cost airline said on Monday.
The tickets are available for booking from March 7 to 13 on the carrier’s website, for the travel period between October 1, 2016 and May 22, 2017.
An AirAsia plane is given a water cannon salute when the plane arrives in Ho Chi Minh City from Penang, Malaysia, on January 25, 2016. |
During this time, the message "With over 100 destinations for you to explore, AirAsia will take you there" will be spread widely throughout Viet Nam so as to spur travel demand and contribute to the tourist industry, according to the carrier.
The Free Seats campaign also features the optional Fly-Thru service, which passengers can make use of to connect to flights via AirAsia’s multiple transit hubs with their baggage checked through to the final destination without the hassle of immigration clearance.
This optional service allows guests to travel seamlessly between all Asian and Australian cities, such as from Penang to Sydney through Kuala Lumpur, making the beautiful harbor city from Down Under just a stop away, according to AirAsia.
Passengers are strongly encouraged to pre-book their baggage allowance at the time of flight booking to enjoy the lowest rate, the airline noted.
