Over recent days, many of Da Nang’s shops and supermarkets have launched numerous attractive promotions and exciting events in order to stimulate sales for today’s International Women's Day.

The city’s branch of Phu Nhuan Jewellery Company (PNJ) has introduced new collections with popular and high-end prices, launched a lucky draw to win a Vespa motorcycle, and given away hundreds of attractive gifts to its customers.

The Big C, Co.op Mart and Intimex supermarkets are offering a variety of gift baskets which are packed with shampoos, skin and body care products, cosmetics, fashionable clothes, or kitchen utensils.

At the Vincom Ngo Quyen Trade Centre, from 4 - 8 March any customer spending over 500,000 VND has the opportunity to take part in a lucky draw to win an iPhone 6S and holiday tours to Vinpearl Land in Nha Trang City.  In addition, there are many mini games, and tonight there is a musical performance at the centre. 

Flowers are indispensable gifts on International Women's Day, and therefore a variety of flowers are available in the markets.  According to the market sellers, the prices of their flowers have increased by 10 - 30% against normal days.  The prices of course vary according to the type of flower.  A Ha Noi rose is priced at 8,000 VND, a Da Lat rose at between 10,000 and 12,000 VND, a gerbera at 5,000 VND, and a carnation from 5,000 - 6,000 VND. 

Some online flower and gift shops are offering such special products as Ecuadorian roses, and roses plated with gold which can cost several millions of VND each.  Many different types of teddy bears are available priced from 50,000 to 250,000 VND each.

Some online shopping websites are introducing new lines of gifts for ladies to celebrate this day, including a yoga mat for 160,000 VND, a fruit juicer for 299,000 VND, and a facial cleansing and massage machine at 125,000 VND.
