Three men from Da Nang, who had the same start-up idea about clean vegetable production and supply, set up the Pihka Joint Stock Company in late March.  Their company specialises in growing and distributing clean vegetables.  They are 33-year-old Huynh Hai Thien, 34-year-old Tran Khac Hanh and 41-year-old Tran Van Bay.

In order to realise his dream of being a successful business owner, Thien quitted his stable job in Japan to begin his business in Da Nang.  In January, he completed a project for producing clean vegetables and presented it at many start-up workshops in the city.  As a result, his project received high appreciation from domestic experts and relevant agencies there.

During the process of finding his partners, Thien received support from Hanh who is the owner of 2 vegetable seed and agricultural material distribution shops.  After that, they met with farmer Bay who also shared the same dream.

After establishing the Pihka company, the 3 men set up a clean vegetable growing area in Phu Son Nam Village in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Khuong Commune.

After around 5 months of trial operation, the clean vegetable growing model has proved effective.  Since early August, their products have been supplied to local markets and have won the trust of local customers.  At present, the company has created job opportunities for 8 people who each earn an average monthly income of between 4 and 5 million VND.

In the future, the company will focus on seeking more customers, enhancing the quality of its production and distribution services, and expanding vegetable growing areas, in order to meet the increasing demand from customers in other localities.

Mr Thien remarked that special attention will be paid to advertising his company’s products online, expats living in the city, restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets.  After maintaining the stability of domestic markets, the company will boost its export activities in the future.

By using advanced technologies, hydroponics method in production activities, and growing vegetables in net houses, the clean vegetables suppliers hope their products will win more trust of people across the city and in other localities.
