So far this year, the total volume of cargo transported through Da Nang Port has reached over 4.7 million tons, up 13% against the same period last year.  This figure includes 206,000 TEUs on container ships, which is a 21.3% rise.  The major staples through the port over the period were mineral waste, iron ore, powder additives, cement, and fertilisers.

These positive results suggest that Da Nang Port is on course to reach its target of handling 7 million tons of cargo, including 300,000 TEUs, by the year end.
