Exports up by 6.8% over last 9 months
According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, the city earned 944.7 million USD from exports between January and September, up 6.8% compared with the same period last year.

Of this figure, 505 million USD was generated by foreign-invested businesses operating in the city, up 10.2% against the same period last year. In addition, centrally-run businesses contributed 178 million USD, up 1.7%, whilst the remaining over 261 million USD was generated by other city-based businesses, up 4%.
The highest growth was in rubber products, up 40.7% to reach 19.9 million USD, followed by children’s toys, up 14.4% to hit 49.2 million USD, and wooden products and handicrafts, up 12.6% to reach 9.8 million USD.
In addition, the export turnover of electrical equipment and electronics climbed by 10.7% to hit 289 million USD, whilst that of textiles and garments rose by 6.7% to reach 237 million USD.
However, the city earned only 108 million USD from exporting seafood during the 9-month period, down by 6.1% against the same period last year.
