The event was attended by 23 leaders from departments of industry and trade nationwide, along with over 300 representatives from domestic business across the country.

The participants shared their mutual experiences on how to effectively promote supply-demand links in their production and consumption activities.

Also at the event, 200 stalls from domestic businesses introduced their high-quality products.  In addition, 40 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on bilateral cooperation were signed.  The cooperation focused on such aspects as agriculture, industry, construction, tourism, hotels, education, and pharmaceutical products.

Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh praised the event’s organisers for their great efforts in attracting more businesses and a higher number of stalls than at previous events.

Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Thuy Mai remarked, “42 MoUs on bilateral cooperation, worth over 320 billion VND in total, were signed at this event last year.  These helped the businesses involved to further their production activities, which in turn helped their localities promote socio-economic development”.

Deputy Director Mai stressed the need for this year’s participants to ensure intensive development of their supply-demand links, become even more actively involved in supply-demand connection activities, and enhance the quality and design of their products.  The intention is to help them become eligible to participate in such distribution channels.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai remarked, “Initiated by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the supply-demand links meetings take place annually in Da Nang, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.  These events aim to help participating businesses increase their mutual information exchange, enhance their supply-demand connection activities, and promote regional cooperation mechanisms.  In addition, they play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of the ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods’ campaign which is being run over the 2014 - 2020 period”.
