Previously, between 11 and 17 October, a marketing survey had been conducted in Russia by Da Nang’s Department of Industry and Trade and its Trade Promotion Centre.
The Russian guest remarked, “This is the first time that I have visited Da Nang. Some businesses from my country are now seeking partners in Viet Nam and they also want to establish representative offices here”.
He said that industrial companies in Saint Petersburg are showing a keen interest in cooperating with Da Nang businesses in such aspects as aircraft components and aviation materials, electric motors, pumps, oil and gas measurement instruments, cold storage, interior decoration products, and agricultural product processing.
He continued, “Russian businesses now need to import electric motors and pumps from other countries, and they want to maintain their purchase orders for a 10-year period. They would also like to complete all the legal documents which would enable them to work in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, as well as to establish joint ventures here”.
At the event, representatives from the Da Nang-based Seatech Equipment Company showed their keen interest in rapid-freezing equipment, whilst those from the Song Thu Shipyard Corporation expressed their great care about manufacturing generators and designing furniture for use in the shipbuilding industry. In addition, a spokesperson from the city’s Taiwan Interior Supermarket (OpalPlaza) said that their company is seeking partners to sell their luxury wooden furniture.
