Number of foreign visitor arrivals to Da Nang expected up 9.5% during Lunar New Year
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the city is expected to welcome 243,230 visitors from both home and abroad during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2017, up 9.5% aganist the same period last year. Of this figure, 100,356 are likely to be foreigners, an increase of 26.6%.

The increase in the number of visitors is mainly attributed to the recently launch of international direct flights to the city, mostly from the Republic of Korea, China and Japan.
A wide range of fascinating cultural activities will be held across the city to celebrate Tet Festival, including New Year’s Eve celebration on the Han River and a spring flower festival.
The city was honoured as Asia’s leading festival and event destination by the World Travel Awards in 2016.
The Da Nang International Airport is now operating 20 international routes, including 11 direct and 9 charter ones.
The city welcomed more than 5.51 million visitors last year, up 17.7% aganist 2015. Of the figure, 1.67 million were foreigners, an increase of 31.6%
