The U&I Investment Corporation, which is headquartered in Binh Duong Province, has recently been granted an investment licence from the Da Nang Hi-tech Park Authority to construct a 14 million USD logistics centre there.  This will be the first logistics project to be deployed in the park.

Covering an area of 5.07ha, the project will be developed in 2 stages.  Work will start on the 1^st stage in the 3^rd quarter of this year and will end in the 1^st quarter of 2018, whilst the 2^nd stage will run from the 1^st quarter of 2021 to the 3^rd quarter of 2021.

Once it is put into use, the centre will satisfy the increasing demand for logistics services amongst businesses operating in the Hi-tech Park. 

The centre will specialise in offering customs brokerage, freight forwarding and inland trucking services, warehouse operations, and freight transportation via road, water and rail.  There will be a cold storage area and a container freight station.

The Da Nang Port features a modern and synchronous logistics system, and plans to turn the Lien Chieu Port into its logistics centre.  The new U&I Investment Corporation logistics centre will help to promote all transport and trade activities in the Hi-tech Park, thereby bolstering the progress of the city’s logistics sector, and that of the country as a whole, in future years.
