According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, the city’s Industrial Production Index over the first 4 months of this year rose by 12.4% against the same period last year.

Over the 4-month period, mining sector jumped by 29.5%, the processing industry increased by 11.8%, electricity production and distribution climbed by around 14%, and water supply and garbage treatment went up by around 8%.

It was reported some local industries recorded a significant increase in their production activities against the same period last year.  In particular, rubber and plastic products rose by 23%, non-metallic mineral products 24.3%, metal production 24.34%, prefabricated metal products 37%, electrical devices 23%, whilst other manufacturing and processing industries 45%.
