With the new interface, 7 specific tourism regions of the country and four types of tourism based on activity and interest were added to the English version of the website to help visitors search for their favourite regions more easily. The 4 types of tourism are culture tourism, sea tourism, natural & ecological tourism, and sport & recreation tourism.
To improve the standard of information available for tourists wanting to visit Viet Nam, VNAT significantly revamped its website and digital marketing campaigns for 2017. The new site is very user-friendly and allows users to plan an entire trip based on location or the types of activities they enjoy. Moreover, it provides visitors with more updated tourism-related news, information of traditional festivals and lists of hotels and travel tours in the country.
First launched in December 1997, the website is available in 7 languages - Vietnamese, English, French and Chinese, as well as Japanese, Korean, and Russian. It has significantly contributed to promoting local tourism by providing travellers useful information about interesting destinations in Viet Nam and its rich culture.
Since January 2017, active Facebook, Instagram and You Tube channels were added to this site, allowing visitors to share travel information about Viet Nam with others worldwide more efficiently.
