In particular, the total of taxes collected in Hoa Vang District hit 181 billion VND.  In detail, the district’s collections from non-state-owned businesses involved in industrial and trade activities reached 99.9% of the year’s estimates set by the city, up 57.3% against the same period last year.  In addition, collections of personal income tax exceeded the year’s estimates by 6.2% to achieve 13.3 billion VND, an increase of 49.3% compared with the same period last year.  Furthermore, 28 billion VND was collections of registration fees, surpassing 27.1% of the year’s estimates.

The main reason for the district’s positive results is thought to be that local companies maintained relatively stable growth in their production and business activities.  This resulted in an increase of 22.5% and 61.4% in value-added tax, and environmental protection fees for mineral exploitation respectively, against the same period last year.

In addition, the district saw a rapid growth of the local real estate market.  This led to a significant rise in tax collections from property transactions in the district.

Moreover, the district’s Taxation Department has increased its checks on local tax debt cases in order to reduce tax collection losses, as well as enhanced the tax collections from project developers who come from other localities.

According to Head of the Lien Chieu District Taxation Bureau Nguyen Sac, the local total budget collections had reached 264.3 billion VND, fulfilling 81.7% of the year’s estimates as of 22 September.

Of this figure, non-state-owned businesses involved in local industrial and commercial activities contributed 192.5 billion VND, representing 59.6% of the district’s estimates.  Meanwhile, collections of personal income tax and registration fees were 43.9 billion VND and 50.7 billion VND respectively.  73.8 billion VND was collected from tax debts, accounting for 27% of the district’s total collections.

By 30 September, the total of tax collected in Hai Chau, Thanh Khe and Cam Le districts had hit 907.218 billion VND, 433.409 billion VND and 351.5 billion VND respectively.
