1,780 foreign cruise ship passengers visit city

Arranged by the Da Nang-based Phu Huu Nghi company, MSC Lirica cruise ship, carrying a total of 1,780 cruise ship passengers, mainly Chinese nationals, berthed at the city’s Tien Sa Port on Monday morning.

During their one-day stay in the seaside city, some of the passengers were taken on organised daily tours to such popular attractions as the Marble Maintains Tourism Site, the Ba Na Hill Resort, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Da Nang Cathedral, and the Linh Ung Pagoda.  The foreign visitors also went shopping at such places as BigC Mall and Vincom Ngo Quyen Trade Centre.

Other passengers were taken on tours to Thua Thien-Hue Province and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.

The ship left the city for other destinations on the same day.

It has been reported that a total of 12 cruise ship arrivals, carrying around 22,500 passengers in total, will have docked at Tien Sa Port by late this month.
