Efforts to ensure environmental hygiene on coastal areas
Following recent instructions from the Da Nang People's Committee, the Water Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company will operate a wastewater treatment project for cleaning the My An discharge outlet on a trial basis.
In addition, the focus will be on installing new water pumps at discharge outlets along the local coastal areas, and placing a garbage sorting system at the My An discharge outlet. These works will be completed by the end of this month.
Yesterday, the Management Board of the city’s Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects begun installing a 426m-long high-density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) which connects the intersection of Phan Ba Phien and Hoang Sa streets with a pumping system at the SPS1 Station on Hoang Sa Street.
The pipe will help to collect domestic effluent from residential areas along Hoang Sa Street and discharge into the station for treatment. The installation is expected to be completed by 6 February.
