Over recent years, the municipal government has given the go-ahead to the implementation of development projects in the district.

The district authorities are making specific plans for re-building the Hoa Phong Commune administrative centre, and creating mini supermarkets in the Hoa Phuoc and Hoa Son communes, rest stops for visitors, a souvenir selling area in Hoa Phu Commune, and constructing a hospital on the northern side of the district.

Currently, appeals are being made for domestic and foreign investment into the development of an urban area on the southwestern side of the Hoa Vang District Administrative Center, the Hoa Nhon Industrial Complex, and 3rd stage of the Hoa Son split stone village.

The hospitality industry is considered to be one of the district’s priority aspects. Therefore, importance is being attached to fully tapping the great tourism development potentials of the stunning lakes of Dong Nghe, Hoa Trung and Hoc Khe.

Also, effective measures are being taken to develop eco-tourism in the Thai Lai Village which is very attractive to domestic and foreign visitors thanks to its fresh air and peaceful atmosphere with amazing mountains, charming rivers and beautiful bamboo trees.

One of the most feasible tourism models in which the district is showing keen interest is the acceleration of the community-based tourism in combination with the preservation of the distinctive cultural values of the Co Tu ethnic minority in the Ta Lang, Gian Bi and Phu Tuc villages in Hoa Bac Commune.

Over the past 2 years, the Viet Nam Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) and the Hoa Vang District government have jointly implemented a project to conserve biodiversity of the buffer zone of Ba Na Nui Chua Nature Reserve and Bach Ma National Park in conjunction with preserving the Co Tu ethnic minority's culture to promote community-based ecotourism.

Recent years have seen growing number of visitors, especially foreigners, to Hoa Phu and Hoa Bac communes, and the Co Tu ethnic minority people here have been familiar with it.  In particular, they are greeting their guests in a more friendly and civilised manner.

In the years ahead, heed will be paid to closely coordinating with relevant local agencies and local tourism businesses to make the best use of the potentials of eco & cultural tourism sites in a bid to further advertise the image of the district, and attract even more investors from both home and aboard.
