Around 170 million VND in fines imposed on 48 violations
During the 2-month-long Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018, the city’s market management force and district-level relevant agencies made great efforts to tighten the management of food and accommodation establishments across the city.
The purpose was to ensure food safety and hygiene for locals and visitors during the international event, as well as guarantee that markets, restaurants and accommodation establishments in the city display the prices of their products and services, and sell them at those prices.
During that period, fines totalling around 170 million VND were imposed on 48 of 239 local food and accommodation establishments which they had been investigated.
In addition, an administrative fine was imposed on a food and drink estalishment in Ngu Hanh Son District for its operation without food safety and hygiene certification.
In particular, the municipal Department of Taxation collected a total of 105 million VND in overdue tax arrears from 2 private businesses in Thanh Khe District.
