Over 6 billion VND for keeping livestock healthy
Following recent approval from the Da Nang authorities, a project to ensure that farm animals in Hoa Vang District are healthy, disease-free, and well looked after will be deployed and completed by 2020.
Accordingly, effective measures will be taken to help prevent the spread of farmed diseases, especially avian influenza H5N1, and foot and mouth disease. Local poultry keepers will to be vigilant against such farmed diseases.
The project is expected to cost more than 6 billion VND from the city budget and local owners of farmed aninals.
Currently, in Hoa Vang District, there are about 13,000 buffaloes and cows, more than 33,000 pigs, and about 263,000 poultries, accounting for up to 90% of the city’s total figure.
The implementation of this project aims at ensuring sustainable animal husbandry activities with a focus on keeping farm animals in this district healthy and disease-free, hereby ensuring safe animal product supplies for consumers in the city.
