Woman's great passion in making 'all-natural' cosmetic products

In recent years, dozen start-ups in Da Nang have begun to tap into the growing demand for healthy lifestyle products amid public concern over chemical contamination. Striving to realise her startup dream despite many potholes on her road to success, Ms Do Le Kim Hue, the Director of Green Belt Technology and Environment Co Ltd (Arya Tara), has gradually won the trust of consumers nationwide thanks to her organic cosmetics using local essential oils and available all-natural ingredients.

Arya Tara is named after a famed Champa beauty when the Champa Kingdom ruled the central region between the 4th and 13th centuries.

Arya Tara whose slogan is ‘From Mother Earth to You’ is the brand name for a line of natural products, with a focus on Health and Beauty, but extending to Home Care as well.

It is noticeable that Arya Tara products feature a wonderful mix of scientific and traditional methods that date back thousands of years and used from generations to generations, along with the utility of all-natural ingredients.

Hue and her partners have successfully developed a wide range of organic cosmetic products. Included are natural body lotions, turmeric or cocoa soap, natural flower-scented hand-sanitizer, insect repellents, and lip balm from essential oils in combination with beeswax, herbal colours, and scents.

“We use only local ingredients and qualified essential oil suppliers. So we carry the nature scent of Viet Nam, and are proud of using local materials”, Hue remarked.

Almost everything Arya Tara uses is domestically-made: coconut oil from Binh Dinh and Ben Tre; ginseng, cinnamon and cajuput oil from Quang Nam, Thua Thien-Hue and Dong Nai.

Natural oils comprised between 70 to 80% of the product, whilst extracts of beewax, aloe vera, and turmeric extract accounted for the remaining ingredients.

Arya Tara says no to the use of artificial ingredients commonly used in making lipsticks. Instead, nourishing oils such as castor and coconut, in conjunction with natural waxes and mineral pigments are used to make Arya Tara lipsticks which are not only natural and safe, but these products also nourish the sensitive skin of the lips, keeping them soft and plump while accentuating their colour.

Ms Hue said that many foreign tourists, especially ones from South Korea and Japan show their keen interest in Arya Tara products.

“Hand and body cream is actual my favourite body lotion ever. It’s good for feet; it’s good for entire, it really makes skin super soft, and it smells like roses”, a female visitor from Germany applauded.

Arya Tara always gives top priority to ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction during its production and trading activities. In the coming time, in addition to her plans to promote the sales of cosmetics in Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ha Noi, and other nationwide localities, Ms Hue hoped that her ‘made-in-Viet Nam’ products will be welcomed by international consumers.
