Central localities to jointly promote tourism in Germany next month

Da Nang and the neighbouring provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam will jointly conduct tourism promotion activities at the 2019 International Travel Trade Show (ITB) Berlin which will take place at the Mess Berlin Hall in Germany from 6 - 10 March.

 

Accordingly, the 3 localities will co-host a pavilion at a 500m2 fair space for Vietnamese businesses.

With a combined total of 51 pavilions, the space is co-organised by the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, the Viet Nam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) and Vietnam Airlines.

At the international-scale tourism fair, leaders of the 3 central localities will be accompanied by representatives from 3 tourism businesses namely the Hue Imperial Hotel, the Da Nang-based A Chau Tourism Company and Quang Nam Province’s Sao Bien Xanh (Blue Starfish) Company.

Also at the 5-day fair, the three localities will participate in the ITB Speed Networking, the Blogger Speed Networking, and other conferences regarding destination advertisement, tourism trends, and MICE (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) development. All seminars and conferences will welcome lots of experts and leaders from leading tourism corporations worldwide.

ITB Berlin will be the good opportunity for Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam to further advertise their tourism images to international friends, especially European citizens.

ITB Berlin is the world largest and most influential tourism fair which has been organised in Berlin, Germany every March since 1966.

For over five decades, from 5 partnering countries with only 580 m2 large in the first few years, until now Mess Berlin has significantly grown in scale and quality and attracted more than 120,000 guests on today’s 160.000 m2.

In 2019, ITB Berlin is expected to welcome over 1,000 qualified buyers, 10,000 exhibitors, and 160,000 visitors from more than 180 countries within 5 days of the tourism fair.
