City welcomes many international cruise ship passengers and presstrip delegations

Arranged by the Pacific Legend Tourism and Service Company, luxury cruise ship Costa Atlantica, carrying a total of 2,300 Chinese passengers, on Thursday morning, docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port.

During their stay of between 8 and 12 hours in the seaside city, these passengers visited such popular attractions as the Son Tra Peninsula, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Marble Mountains Tourist Area, and the tourist beaches of Pham Van Dong, My Khe, Non Nuoc, and Sao Bien.

Also, the visitors went shopping at traditional markets and took city tours by cyclo.

In the evening of the same day, the ship left the city for other destinations.

On Friday morning, the city welcomed about 500 European visitors from the Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship, arranged by the city’s branch of the Tan Hong Co.Ltd.

Since early this year, Da Nang has continuously welcomed international presstrip delegations from the non-stop service connecting Da Nang with Qatar’s Doha. 

From 6 to 12 March, a Bosnia presstrip delegation, consisting of reporters, journalists, bloggers specialising in tourism), are visiting Da Nang in order to survey local tourism products and attractions.

During their 7-day stay here, the delegation are taking tours to the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Son Tra Peninsula and the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park. They will also see Dragon’s head breathes fire and squirts water at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

Da Nang and the neighbouring provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam are jointly conducting tourism promotion activities at the 2019 International Travel Trade Show (ITB) Berlin at the Mess Berlin Hall in Germany from 6 - 10 March.

Accordingly, the 3 localities have a joint pavilion at a 500m2 fair space for Vietnamese businesses.

Also at the 5-day fair, the 3 localities are participating in the ITB Speed Networking, the Blogger Speed Networking, and other conferences regarding destination advertisement, tourism trends, and MICE (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) development.
