Local government pledges to create best conditions for investors
Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh on Thursday met with representatives of the developers of some large-scaled projects will be implemented in the city.

As for the 170 million US$ Sunshine aerospace components manufacturing project which will be developed by the Universal Alloy Corporation-UAC at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, Chairman Tho said this large-scale project is drawing public attention in the city, and it is in accordance with the city’s hi-tech development orientation.
Once operational, the UAC-invested project will help to boost supporting activities and create exciting production atmosphere in the park.
He also vowed that the most preferential possible conditions would be created for UAC to implement its project effectively in the city.
In reply, Jon Kevin Loebbaka, the UAC’s Chief Operating Officer, affirmed, in the future, if such big aircraft manufacturers as Boeing and Airbus want to expand their operations, UAC will recommend Da Nang to them as a good choice.
In another meeting with Mr Okada Yoshimune, a high-ranking official from Japan-based Katsura Hotel Mikazuki Co.,Ltd, Chairman Tho asked the investor to start work on its 100 million US$ expansion of the existing Xuan Thieu Tourist Area in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, and ensure the on-scheduled progress as well.
The host also asked for help from Mikazuki to further introduce Da Nang to other Japanese businesses.
The Japanese guest, on his part, pledged to deploy this project with the expectation that it would be the most successful Mikazuki project ever.

During his meeting with Mr Douglas G. Burkhardt, the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations of KeyTronicEMS, a leading electronic contract manufacturer based in Spokane Valley, WA, Chairman
Tho re-affirmed that maximum support would be offered to the implementation of a 50 million US$ electronic equipment manufacturing and assembly factory in the city.
The municipal government leader also proposed that KeyTronicEMS use raw materials available in Da Nang, and in Viet Nam at large, or appeal for its international partners to open raw material factories in the hi-tech park.
The host hoped that the U.S.A based company would expand its business activities in the city in the coming time.
In reply, Mr Douglas G. Burkhardt said, it only took the company 30 days to seek investment opportunities, and choose Da Nang thanks to its great potential. The project is expected to put into operation in August.
