Mrs Tran Anh Thu from the Bien Dong Company said her company’s ESTEC Automation and Digitalisation Factory project was granted an investment licence from the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park in January 2018.
Covering an area of nearly 1ha, the around 8 million USD project will be divided into 2 stages.
Work started on the 1st stage of the project on an area of 4,000m2 in late March 2018. The project is the first of its kind that has been built and put into operation in the Hi-tech Park.
Mrs Thu underlined the need for the municipal authorities to inform her company about a list of necessary dossiers in order to save travel time and expenses to promote the implement progress of the work.
Being one of new investors in the seaside city, Mr Vo Duy Thanh Thanh, CEO of the city’s branch of the NFQ Group, spoke highly of the city for its open and transparent investment environment, simple administrative procedures, improved infrastructure, and high-quality human resources.
He remarked in the next 5 years his company will recruit 500 highly qualified IT employees working for startup companies in the USA and Europe countries.

Meanwhile, Mr Lee Sung-woo, CEO of Nemo Partners, said over recent years his company has become more actively involved in advertising beautiful images of Da Nang to South Korean investors. In addition, his company has provided comprehensive consultancy services for any businesses who want to do business in the city.
He, however, realised that the city is facing a serious shortage of qualified human resources, especially those working in the IP aspect.
He also proposed the municipal authorities should improve the traffic situation in the city in the coming time.
In attempting to continue implementing the city’s ‘2019: The Year of Investment Promotion’ campaign in a more effective manner, the focus will be on improving infrastructure, fostering the construction progress of key projects, issuing preferential policies and investment support mechanisms, boosting investment promotion activities, and promoting the IT application into administrative procedures. The purpose is to make Da Nang more inviting to visitors from both home and abroad.
