The Da Nang People's Committee has issued an official dispatch on temporarily suspending the implementation of the Marina Complex project in Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District, and re-checking legal documents relating to this project.

Functional local bodies are now responsible for gathering opinions about the project from experts, scientists and representatives from relevant national government agencies, and then submitting reports to the municipal government no lather than 3 May for consideration.

The project covers a total area of 11.73ha which include 10.73ha of land, 1 ha of water surface, and a pier for tourist boats, featuring only 2 tower blocks of between 16 and 33 storeys, and 57 villas.

Prior to the city’s suspension decision, the project developer had completed the technical infrastructure construction to the east of Le Van Duyet Street, and the building of shop houses under the municipal administration-granted construction permit.

Meanwhile, the riverside area to the west of Le Van Duyet Street had been leveled and embanked. Besides, the construction of such technical infrastructure items as internal roads, water supply, and drainage systems was underway.
