On Friday, representatives from the Da Nang People’s Committee and the Viet Nam Travel and Marketing Transports JSC (Vietravel) signed an agreement to enhance their cooperation in tourism.

Under the agreement, the 2 sides will joinly develop tourism products, conduct tourism promotion activities, and train high-quality human resource for the hospitality sector during the 2019 - 2021 period.

During that period, top priority will be given to promoting the opening of direct flights connecting Da Nang with destinations around the world, boosting the city’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism combined with beach leisure tourism, and building the largest tennis academy in the central region and highlands.

Besides, Vietravel will provide consultancy services for the Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sport, and other relevant agencies in Da Nang to develop a chain of cuisine culture.

Most notably, the travel agency is ready to invest in community-based eco-tourism attractions in the city.

In his remarks at the signing ceremony, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh highlighted the significance of signing the agreement in futher boosting the development of the local tourism sector to continue securing Da Nang's position as a friendly, safe and attractive destination for both domestic and foreign visitors.

Vice Chairman Chinh vowed that the municipal authorities would create very favourable conditions for Vietravel to implement its commitments and operate effectively in the city.
