Contests for expanding existing APEC Park and building new Museum of Da Nang attract 14 entries
A meeting was recently held in Da Nang to assess entries for contests to design architectural plans for the expansion of the existing APEC Park, and for upgrading facilities at 42 and 44 Bach Dang, and 31 Tran Phu, into the Museum of Da Nang.
In his remarks at the event, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung highly praised the organisers for their great efforts in carefully preparing for the contests which have drawn much attention from both domestic and foreign design consultants.
He also spoke highly entrants for their sense of responsibility to ensure the progress of the contests and to create high-quality entries.
Mr Dung highlighted the significance of the expansion and upgrading work in promoting the city’s economic, cultural and urban development.
A contest to design architectural plans for upgrading the existing facilities at 42 and 44 Bach Dang, and 31 Tran Phu, into the Museum of Da Nang has attracted 16 8 design consultancy units in total.
Entries were on display on the 1st floor lobby of the Da Nang Administration Centre from 2 - 8 June.
According to the contests’ organisers, the evaluation of entries is based on main criteria such as planning, architecture, technical and economic solutions and the presentation.
