Strengthening cooperative relations with Yaroslavl Province
As part of his ongoing working trip to Russia, Austria and the Czech from 22 June - 3 July, a delegation of Da Nang’s leaders led by municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh had a working session with representatives of Yaroslavl Province in Moscow, Russia's capital city.
Vice Chairman Chinh said that Da Nang and Yaroslavl Province established friendship and cooperative relations in 1999. Over the past 20 years, the two localities have gained fruitful results from their bilateral cooperative programmes in many aspects. However, they have yet to fully tap the great potentials and expectations of the two sides.
He remarked in the coming time Da Nang will focus on enhancing high-ranking delegation exchanges, boosting tourism cooperation, and appealing for even more investors from Yaroslavl Province to pour their money into the city’s Hi-tech Park.
In reply, Mr Sergei Yakushev, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of the Russian province, said over recent years, Da Nang and his province shared many similarities in production activities, and industry and tourism development strategies.
He pledged that Yaroslavl will create the most favourable conditions to deepen the bilateral cooperative relations with Da Nang in the future.
In the 4th quarter of this year, a group of Yaroslavl Province’s leaders will visit Da Nang to sign agreements on boosting bilateral cooperation in such aspects as trade, tourism, and hi-tech.
On the same day, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Department Nguyen Xuan Binh met with representatives from travel associations and businesses in Russia to introduce the city’s tourism.
