Nightlife venues become bustling after reopening
Life has gone back to normal in Da Nang as Covid-19 has been basically contained in the city. Nighttime activities have returned to the city following a long halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all off which have been crowded with local and visitors.

From early June till date, the An Thuong tourist quarter operating on a 24/7 basis located in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward, one of the city’s international tourists-packed spots, has gradually become bustling after nightlife returned to Da Nang.
Mr Alessio, a South African national, said he came to Da Nang to work as a foreign language teacher, said he is very satisfied as many shops and bars have reopened their doors in the An Thuong tourist quarter following the lifting of the coronavirus-forced nationwide social distancing restrictions. “Foreigners like us have such ideal places to hang out and chat with my friends.”, said Alessio.
In addition, such cultural events as Tuong performances, ‘bai choi’(singing while acting as playing cards) and street parades of live music and dancing on the eastern bank of the Han River have been back on track after a long suspension.
The street carnival of live music and dancing taking place in vibrant ambience on Le Quang Dao Street in An Thuong tourist quarter on Saturday and Sunday evenings draws a great deal of public attention. In particular, a large number of domestic and foreign tourists immerse themselves in the fun and festive atmosphere during the event as they comfortably participate in dancing with the artistes, taking nice photos and videos of this highly impressive event.

After its long pandemic-triggered closure, the bustle creeps back to the Son Tra Night Market. Encouragingly, last weekend, this site welcomed over 3,000 visitors and it will develop more diversified events and art programmes in an effort to increase visitor numbers.
According to Mr Nguyen Xuan Binh, the Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, after the first month of the implementation of the Da Nang tourism stimulus programme, Da Nang has seen a signigicant rise in visitor numbers.
More than 55% of the city’s total serviced accommodation establishments were reopened this month, and 70% expected next month.
The majority of serviced accommodation establishments have returned to their normal services. Many routes connecting Da Nang with other localities have been resumed and many new one have been opened.
In the first half of this year, the number of visitors to Da Nang was estimated at over 1.49 million. In detail, foreign and domestic tourists were estimated at over 598,000 and 893,000, respectively. The city’s total tourism revenue reached 5,952 billion VND. Particularly, the total number of tourists staying at local serviced accommodation establishments in the first half of the year stood at over 1.1 million.
