Organic agroforestry products displayed at farmers' market in the city
In response to the ‘Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods’ and the ‘Action Month for the Environment’ campaigns, a farmers' market took place at the Culture and Sports Centre in Cam Le District’s Khue Trung Ward in Da Nang on Thursday.
The farmers' market drew much attention from visitors and the municipal Farmers' Association’s members |
Organised by the municipal Farmers' Association, the one-day event aimed to promote supply-demand links between farmers in the city, thereby boosting the production and consumption of organic agricultural products.
The event attracted a total of 20 stalls introducing and selling a wide range of organic agroforestry products such as vegetables, fruits and mushrooms.
One of the highlights of the event was an amateur fashion show themed ‘Joining efforts to Protect Environment’. Amateur models came out to show off clothes made from recycled materials in an effort to raise public awareness of environmental issues.
