Some areas in the city’s manufacturing sector that account for a significant proportion of the city's industrial production saw a significant increase in their productivity.
In particular, shipbuilding and the production of floating components rose by 141.1%, seafood processing 36.2%, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies 32%, machinery and equipment 30.6%, paints and varnishes 24.4%, instant food 24.8%, sports equipment 23.6%, and metal production 3.8%.
Manufacturing businesses throughout Da Nang are rebounding. The East Sea Technology Engineering Electrical Automation Company (ESTEC) located in the Hi-tech Park is a typical example.
The company’s operation is gradually returning to normal as the health crisis comes under control.
The company’s Director Vuong Ngoc Hoang said his company is focusing on providing technical solutions for its customers to help them ensure their stable operation and promote their business recovery after the pandemic passes. Included are how to maintain the good operation of the electrical system, digitizing solutions and energy management.
Meanwhile, the Huong Que Production-Processing-Import Export Trading Company in Lien Chieu District, a supplier of cinnamon products, has received many orders from its customers, including resorts, hotels and tourist sites in Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Hue.

Director of the company Nguyen Xuan Son said his company saw a drop in orders in June with its order numbers accounting for about 30% of the total compared to the same period last year but this allows his company to keep paying its employees' salaries.
Director Son looks for more positive signals in the city's economy in July as the coronavirus outbreak wanes.
According to the latest forecasts released by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, the city’s industrial production in the coming months will be grown again, but there are still many difficulties for many industries such as textiles and garments, footwear, automobile manufacturing and assembly, electrical equipment and electronic components due to shrink consumer markets.
The city’s IIP for June is likely to drop by 5.5% against the same period last year. Between January and June, the city's total imports are predicted to decline by 9% against 2019 to hit 570 million USD.
In its efforts to promote the recovery of industrial production, Da Nang is accelerating the construction of the Hoa Nhon, Hoa Ninh and the 2nd stage of the Hoa Cam industrial parks.
