Focus will be on developing the infrastructure in Da Nang's industrial parks (IPs), carrying out the 2^nd stage of the Hoa Cam IP, and creating Hoa Nhon and Hoa Ninh IPs in an attempt to make Da Nang an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investment.

This statement was made by municipal People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho on Saturday at the 3^rd Congress of the Party organisation of the municipal Authority of Hi-tech Park and Industrial Zones during its 2020 – 2025 tenure.

In response to Politburo-issued Resolution No 43-NQ/TW regarding the city’s progress by 2030 with a vision toward 2045, Da Nang government has set up the city's action plans to develop hi-tech industry, build Da Nang into a national startup and innovation centre, and a highly competitive scientific and technological urban area meeting international standards.

In particular, the Da Nang Hi-tech Park plays a strong role in driving economic development in Da Nang, and the central region and Central Highlands as a whole.

By late last year, about 500 projects totalling more than 51,000 billion VND in combined registered capital have been carried out in the Hi-tech Park and IPs in Da Nang.

In particular, businesses operating in the Hi-tech Park and IPs in Da Nang have contributed a large annual average contribution which accounts for nearly 35% of the city’s total budget collections. Many of them have made every effort to promote their brands and lift their prestige and stature in both domestic and international markets.

Till date, they have created stable jobs for a sum of over 40,000 residents living in the city, and no labour strikes have been reported in IPs across Da Nang.
