Representatives of more than 100 travel agencies, along with businesses that offer accommodation, food and drink, and transport services from Da Nang and Gia Lai Province gathered in Da Nang on Friday for a  seminar to discuss ways to boost the tourism industry in the two localities.

The event was co-organised by the Da Nang Department of Tourism and the Gia Lai Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Ways to promote high-end tourism products available in the two localities were highlighted at the seminar. 

During the seminar, leaders of Da Nang and Gia Lai Province pledged to create favourable conditions for  tourism associations and tourism businesses to fully exploit tourism potential in the two localities.

In addition, the officials of the two localities discussed ways to create their own tourism products in an effort to increase visitor numbers to their localities.

Also at the seminar, representatives from the Da Nang and Gia Lai Province Tourism Associations inked a cooperative agreement on implementing a tourism stimulus programme in the two localities.
