The discussion was co-hosted by the municipal Tourism Association, the Sun World and National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
During the discussion, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh pointed out to the fact that many domestic and foreign visitors are very excited about exploring Da Nang during the daytime, whereas the city still lacks night-time entertainment venues. As a result, tourists’ stay periods in the city now remain low.
In the current context as the Covid-19 pandemic has been brought under control in Viet Nam, the development of more attractive new nighttime events and services plays a very important role in maintaining the city’s inviting image even in the low tourist season in Da Nang, as well as encouraging tourists to extend their stay periods and increase their spending during their relaxing time in Da Nang.
Discussions at the seminar in progress |
Previously, the municipal government had asked relevant local agencies, in a prompt and effective manner, to perfect tourism services at the An Thuong tourist quarter in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward, create the Bach Dang Night Market and develop nighttime entertainment services near the western side of the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.
The discussions focussed on developing effective measures and solutions to create new tourism products and services in Da Nang so as to pave the way for the city’s nighttime economic development.
