Da Nang will be in need of more than 47,500 billion VND in grants from Viet Nam's national government to carry out 38 projects during the 2021 - 2025 period, according to the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment.

Of this figure, over 10,581 billion VND will funded by domestic sources whilst the rest will come from on-lending ODA capital and other concessional loans.

In details, funding from the national government is expected to go to the implementation of a series of  important projects across Da Nang. Included are the upgrade of medical emergency systems on national islands worth 200 billion VND, the 1,775 billion VND expansion of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, the 324 billion VND upgrade of the existing municipal Biotechnological Centre into a biotechnology research and development (R&D) centre serving socio-economic progress of the South Central Region, a 300 billion VND start-up training area, and the construction of the 285 billion VND Bac Hoa Vang Hospital.

Meanwhile, borrowings from internationally financial sources are scheduled to be allocated to the deployment of such key projects as the relocation of the city’s railway station and urban redevelopment totaling more than 12,300 billion VND, the city's underground and overhead subway system worth over 16,200 billion VND, the application of smart traffic system  worth over 2,800 billion VND, an over 52.7 billion VND sub-project at the Da Nang Vocational Training Junior College within the vocational training enhancement project using ODA loans from the Japanese government, a 394 billion VND Dam Rehabilitation and Safety Improvement Project with Smart Irrigation - Climate Change Adaptation in Da Nang, the 4,636 billion VND project for supporting the development policy of the city budget, the 2,063 billion VND Da Nang Sustainable Development project, and an over 651 billion VND project to improve the city’s traffic infrastructure.
