The total value of retail sales in Da Nang between January and October reached 44,988 billion VND, according to Da Nang Statistics Bureau Data. This marked a decrease of  5.7%  when compared with the same period a year ago.

In October alone, the value of sales hit 4,919 billion VND, increased 4.5% on previous month, but declined 4.1% from a year earlier.

Encouragingly, a slight revenue hike recorded in some industries such as food with a up of 2.6%, garments 13%, motor vehicle repair 15.6%, and other products 6.1%. Meanwhile, some aspects saw a considerable drop, namely construction materials wood down 27%, automobiles 17.6%, and educational cultural products 9.6%.

Due to the adverse impact of the recent prolonged floods in Central Viet Nam, the prices of some products, vegetables for example, saw a slight plunge.

Considerably rebounding from the Covid-19 outbreak, accommodation and catering services chucked out 795 billion VND in revenue in October, up by 20.5% against September. In detail, accommodation climbed by 15.6% against last month to stand at 100 billion VND, whilst catering rose by 21.3% to hover at 696 billion VND.
